Pre-season Training Begins as Selangor FC Prepares for New Season Ahead

The Selangor FC Training Centre returned to its colour as soon as the official training session began on February 5 to begin the pre-season session for this season.

The Red Giants squad underwent a training session at the beginning of last month with players who are still with the team (#stillRed) and new players (#isRed) to get back to their fitness step by step.

Tan Cheng Hoe, Selangor FC's Head Coach, is pleased with the team's progress thus far.

"Our training sessions have been going well thus far. I observe that the players are greatly driven, which generates a positive mood in the squad. At the same time, our coaches have thoroughly arranged their training routine to ensure that their fitness is always at its peak to face the somewhat long preseason session this time.

"Even new players like Ronnie Fernandez, Alvin Fortes, Nooa Laine, and Azim Al Amin have trained effectively. They quickly became acquainted with the rest of the teammates. This indicates that everyone is cooperating well with each other. I can't wait to start this season," he said.

The national players, meanwhile, have been given time off and will report the following week.

The Selangor FC squad will begin preseason abroad in early March before the national under-23 players are called to a training camp to prepare for the U23 Asian Cup tournament, which will be held in Doha, Qatar in April.
